On 9 November 2023, Prof. Dr. Metka Tekavčič, Smiljana Zajec, Head of the Organisational Unit for Academic Activities, and Melita Sekulovska, Regional Coordinator of the Master’s Degree Programme in Management and Organisation in Macedonia, attended the 4th AACSB Conference hosted by the Faculty of Economics of the Saints Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
The conference aimed to inform business and economics schools in the region about how AACSB accreditation can help business schools grow.
The guest speaker and AACSB speaker was Ronald S.J. Tuninga, AACSB Vice President and Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
In the rich conference programme, Prof. Metka Tekavčič, PhD, participated as an invited guest in a panel on Best Practices and Examples from the Region. She highlighted the three most important points related to accreditation, namely that accreditation is not the ultimate goal of business schools, but rather continuous improvement, impact and the accredited community of accredited schools, which are the drivers of change.
The panel, chaired by Prof. Dr Predrag Trpeski, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Saints Cyril and Methodius University, also included Prof. Dr Marina Dabić, Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb and Prof. Dr Ronald S. J. Tuninga, AACSB.
