The doctoral winter school confirmed the excellence of academic education

Between February 12 and 16, 2024, the University of Ljubljana School of Economics and Business organized the fourth consecutive winter doctoral school, which offered one-week courses for international students. Under the experienced baton of the Service for International Cooperation, this year’s winter doctoral school was a real success.

Doctoral winter school offered five economically important courses taught in English and online to all doctoral students, researchers and the academic and professional public from different regions worldwide. Each course was 4 ECTS – credit points. At the end of the course, all participants received an official certificate of participation.

Courses included areas of applied time series analysis, economic psychology, introduction to data science with Python, causal inference methods with panel data, and courses on scientific writing and operating system operations. At the winter school, we had the opportunity to host several outstanding experts, including representatives of the University of Lisbon from Portugal and Viadrina University from Germany, together with lecturers from the University of Ljubljana.

For anyone interested in attending the next winter PhD school, you do not have to wait too long. The Summer Doctoral School will take place this summer between July 8 and 19, 2024.
