The SEB LU will continue to hold the title of athlete-friendly school in 2024.

The Olympic Committee of Slovenia (OKS) has extended the validity of the Athlete-Friendly Education Certificate for SEB LU until the end of the 2024/25 academic year. The faculty has proven to be an athlete-friendly educational institution, as it offers student athletes the opportunity to build a dual career through various adaptations.

TheSEB LU, which was one of the first faculties to receive the certificate in 2019, supports students’ sporting careers while studying at the same time, thus providing them with an appropriate level of education that facilitates the transition to a new professional path after the end of their sporting career. Achieving a high level of sporting performance requires athletes to train frequently and intensively and to take part in international competitions at home and abroad. Balancing these commitments with the demands of the educational process is a challenge for student athletes as they coordinate their activities and are often motivated to do so.

The “Athlete Friendly Education” certificate is a certificate for the promotion of dual career activities of athletes awarded by OKS. The dual career sector requires a coordinated approach and the networking of several actors at national level who accompany the athlete throughout his or her career.
