Challenges of Balancing Work and Private Obligations: Towards Sustainability

At the round table discussion “Challenges of Balancing Work and Private Obligations: Towards Sustainability,” we will engage in a conversation with interesting guests, focusing on the complexity of balancing professional and private obligations in different stages of life. We will discuss our own expectations and societal expectations, as well as the challenges we face in managing the demands of various life roles.
We will explore approaches that lead to a satisfying balance between work and personal life. The aim of the round table is to encourage the exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices, and to enable participants to gain new perspectives and strategies to better manage the challenges of everyday life.

Sustainability of Major Sporting Events

Sustainability principles and goals are also becoming incredibly important in the field of sports, especially major sporting events. The latter usually have a significant social and economic impact, so it is necessary to carefully and purposefully plan all activities related to sustainability. How proactive are Slovenian organizers in this regard, what can we learn from past events and best practices from abroad, how can we connect sustainability, tourism, and sports? We will discuss all of this with interesting speakers from the fields of tourism, sports, and sports agencies. We will also present the challenges and objectives of the target research project from this area of study that we are conducting at EF. Welcome!

Building sustainable business models

You are invited to a roundtable discussion where leading representatives of companies will share their experiences and responses to ESG (environmental, social, governance) challenges. We will explore their perspectives, knowledge, and experiences on how business models are changing in pursuit of sustainability goals, how business culture is evolving and how to keep up with current developmental trends across various business sectors while ensuring sustainability. Most importantly, we will talk about how to effectively manage all risks – both today and in the future. The latter topic is also a topic of conversation among global managers. Therefore, welcome to the discussion on key issues for sustainable business development.

Climate Dialogue: Circular Future
Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11 a.m.
The world is changing and now is the time to get involved! Important topics to be addressed through discussions include sustainability in companies and best practices for reducing negative environmental impact, the importance of setting climate goals and monitoring progress, and participation in the COP climate conference with the aim to achieve these goals. We will also discuss the transition to a circular economy for a more sustainable future.
The event will take place in the form of relaxed 30-minute discussions moderated by EF alumna, Petrisa Čanji.
