Our SEB LU Tourism master’s students kicked off the 2023 Tourism Economics course with a visit to Ljubljana Castle, led by Prof. Tanja Mihalič and Prof. Daša Farčnik. The visit began with a discussion led by Simona Kokalj, the castle’s marketing manager, and Lara Kolar, the head of the information centre, about the castle’s history, organisational structure and physical and digital products. The castle’s wine story and its digital app will move to the classroom, as the subject is taught by a tourism economist and wine tourism expert prof. Bill Gartner from Minnesota University.

Afterwards, everyone met over coffee and cake in Grajska Kavarna, where the students and lecturers had the opportunity to get to know each other better and make new contacts. This was the beginning of a new network among the SEBLU tourism students of 2023.
