Guest lecture at the Managerial Economics course

At the beginning of December, students of the Managerial Economics course, taught by Prof. Dr. Andreja Cirman, Prof. Dr. Polona Domadenik Muren and Prof. Dr Matjaž Koman had the opportunity to listen to two interesting guests from the business community: Dušan Omerčević, founder of Cleanshelf and an outstanding expert in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and Mitja Žnidaršič, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at LifeClass Hotels & Spa Portorož.

Dušan Omerčević presented his remarkable entrepreneurial journey and the development of a product based on “SaaS for SaaS”. The new business models being developed in business practice are interesting to analyse from both a theoretical and practical point of view. Mitja Žnidaršič’s presentation gave a practical example of pricing policy in a hotel company, building on the theoretical knowledge of price discrimination that the students had learned in the lectures.

Insights from the business community strengthen our students’ skills and motivation to learn and create a link between academia and business. The students and lecturers would like to thank both guests.
