Successful excursion to China
Confucius institute Ljubljana has organized an excursion to China in cooperation with the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade from 5th till 12th of November 2011.
Participants, that is 13 representatives of Slovenian educational institutions (faculties, high schools, primary schools and one kindergarten) and 8 representatives of Slovenian small and medium-sized enterprises, visited the city of Shanghai, Suzhou, Wujiang, Wuxi in Nantong. The honorary guest of the excursion was the Slovenian Ambassador in China H.E. Mrs. Marija Adanja, who addressed the participants of this excursion and officially announced the start of a week-long excursion. The guests had the chance to listen to a recognized Chinese virtuoso, prof. Liu Zhengguo who played on a replica of the 9000 year old flute.
For the representatives of Slovenian small and medium-sized enterprises the excursion was primarily focused on professional and practical nature. They had the opportunity to learn about Chinese business partners and gain basic and upgrade existing knowledge from different fields of doing business in Chinese markets or with Chinese partners.
The representatives of Slovenian educational institutions have visited the Chinese universities, elementary and secondary schools, kindergartens and had the opportunity to learn more about the way the educational system in China works.
