Another successful educational trip to China
Confucius Institute Ljubljana at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana in collaboration with the University of Shanghai Institute for Foreign Trade organized the second educational excursion to China. Excursion, which was intended for the representatives of the Ministry of Education, principals of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens and dean of faculty, was held from October 26th to November 4th, 2012. It’s been attended by 13 Slovenian and 2 Chinese representative.
The participants visited the city of Beijing and Chengdu. The purpose of the excursion was multifaceted; familiarizing participants with the education system in China, the convenience of to the opening of the first Confucius classrooms in Slovenia, establishment of greater cooperation between Chinese and Slovenian schools / universities, strengthen academic relations with the schools / universities in Beijing and Chengdu.
Honored guest was Slovenian Ambassador in China, Her Excellency, Ms. Marija Adanja. The participants visited Hanban – Confucius Institute Headquarters, which operates under supervision of the Chinese state office for spreading the Chinese language in Beijing. Moreover, participants had a reception at the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), which is the only Chinese university, where the Slovenian language is taught. Visit the city of Chengdu has been mainly concentrated on primary, secondary schools and universities visits.
