Glimpses of performance of art group of teachers from China
For the first time in Slovenia we had the opportunity to see, a great Chinese art group of teachers/educators, called “Cathay Future Art Teachers Troupe”. Cultural performance of the group was on Friday, December 14th 2012 at 4.30 pm in the Primary School Koseze. Free show was open to all lovers of Chinese culture.
Artistic team was established in 2008, and its aim is the development of artistic and professional skills of teachers and enrichment of their free time and others. The group comes from Tianjin Cathay Future Children’s Art Center, which is located in Tianjin city and is an important cultural, artistic and educational center for children.
The center has trained more than 100,000 students per year and attracts over 1 million visitors. The center has a staff of over 50 teachers who present themselves with a variety of cultural items, such as dance, choral singing, instrumental music and ect.. In recent years the group has taught in the Philippines, England and France, various Chinese traditional handicrafts, Chinese language, the traditional national dance, painting, calligraphy and more. With all these activities they have gained much media attention in China and around the world.
