The beginning of the Chinese New Year celebration in Ljubljana
Confucius Institute at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana has organized the traditional celebration of the Chinese New Year. The celebration was held in the Asian restaurant Big Hong Kong in Črnuče. The guests were welcomed by Director of Confucius Institute Ljubljana, Ms. Daniela Voljč, Dean of the Faculty of Economics Prof. Dr. Dušan Mramor and ambassador of the People’s Republic of China H.E. Mr. ZHANG Xianyi. Prof. Dr. Mitja Saje presented the importance of the new Chinese year, which is according to the Chinese zodiac the year of the snake. The evening was colored with festive Chinese cuisine, a rich cultural programme and traditional fun games.
