Dear students, co-workers, partners and so-creators of the Faculty of Economics,
The Faculty of Economics is now in its seventh decade. It has been built and shaped by many a generation of professors and students, and all of them have contributed their stones to the mosaic that is the faculty today. We have become a successful, internationally recognized school of business and economics that delivers the highest standards of quality both in education and research. Our mission is to develop principled leaders for work in a globally competitive business environment. We offer the society an effective and accountable transfer of our own and global knowledge of business and economics. We are guided by the values that were incorporated into the faculty’s Code of Ethics: Knowledge, Responsibility, Cooperation, Integrity and Academic Freedom. These are the foundation of our vision to rank among the top business and economics schools. We are going to attain this vision by hard work and accountable behaviour when transferring knowledge and stimulating creativity that produces new solutions and new knowledge for the new era. May our academic community excel through tolerance, mutual trust, motivation, cooperation and mutual respect for each and everyone’s achievements. This is the way I intend to act and I wish this to be our common orientation. The faculty is made up of people whose quality work and behaviour enhances the faculty’s public image. We are responsible for the faculty’s reputation and fulfilling its mission.
