CEE Conference 2013

During the 4 and 6 October 2013 Faculty of Economics, Ljubljana held an international scientific conference ” China – CEE cross- cultural dialogue , education & learning” which is in addition to the Confucius Institute Ljubljana and  Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, organized also by Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade (Shanghai, China ) and Beijing Foreign Studies University (Beijing , China ) . The honorary patron of the conference was the President of the Republic of Slovenia , Mr . Borut Pahor .

The conference included about 50 abstracts written by 85 different authors and co- authors from 18 different countries , including CEE countries , China, Russia , South Korea and even Australia. The summaries were based on seven topics that are covered historical link CEE countries with China , marketing, tourism, international business and international economics , as well as administrative and legal acts .

In addition to all the interesting posts , we also hosted prof. Kerry Brown from the University of Sydney, who was the key note speaker. We also had the honor to host Dr . Ming Hua Li from Copenhagen Business School, Mr. Marjan Svetličič from the University of Ljubljana and prof. Dr . Matthew Rašković , who was also the main coordinator of the first CEE Conference in Ljubljana.

Participants had the opportunity to attend the dinner at the Ljubljana castle and visit the castle and the lake.

Future such conference is to be held in 2015 in Vienna under the 650 -year-old University of Vienna in even greater numbers and enhanced support by Chinese partner universities .
