EMTM students have successfully completed an eight-day study tour ITHAS 2011 (International Tourism and Hospitality Academy at Sea). They have been traveling around Croatian Adriatic sea on the boats which have changed into the classroom. Among others they have seen practical examples of tourism business in Albania and Montenegro. One hundred tourism students attended the Academy from four European universities. The lecturers were recognized professors of tourism and tourism professionals and representatives of the Croatian, Albanian and Montenegrin destinations. Students have introduced their international projects about physical planning in tourism. ITHAS Academy combines theoretical knowledge about tourism with practice.

Študentje EMTM so uspešno zaključili osemdnevno študijsko potovanje ITHAS 2011 (International Tourism and Hospitality Academy at Sea). Potovali so po hrvaškem Jadranu na barkah, ki so se v času plovbe spremenile v učilnice. Z avtobusi so si ogledali praktične primere turističnega poslovanja v Albaniji in Črni Gori. Na akademiji je sodelovalo 100 študentov turizma iz štirih evropskih univerz. Predavali so priznani profesorji turizma ter turistični profesionalci ter predstavniki hrvaških, albanskih in črnogorskih destinacij. Študentje so mednarodni javnosti predstavili projekte na temo Fizično planiranje v turizmu. Akademija ITHAS kombinira teoretično znanje študentov turizma s praktičnim.
