On 29 March 2011 FELU hosted lecturer mag. Boris Šušmak, a national Blue Flag coordinator from Foundation for Environmental Education – Slovenia (FEE-S) at the subject Environmental Management at the programme EMTM (Course Director is prof. dr. Tanja Mihalič). He presented the Blue flag campaign for beaches and marinas. Presentation was a part of the programme on eco labelling, which is one of the management tools how to implement environmentaly friendlier management in tourism.

International Full Time Master Programme in Business Administration (IMB) students were honoured to receive a visitor from Studio Moderna, David Buckley, CFO in March.
One of the IMB students commented Mr Buckley’s lecture in a following manner:
»He has presented the company history and their development, which leads all the way to their today’s reputation of being the largest e-commerce retailer in the Eastern and Central Europe. The company operates in 21 countries and served more than 400 million consumers. Studio Moderna has succeed in developing a multiple market channels management and risk prone corporate culture that favours the speed of response. They have won the trust of consumers especially with their high quality brands such as Kosmodisk and Dormeo. The lecture really made us think differently about the Studio Moderna business model and we would gladly agree that Studio Moderna is one of the most successful companies in direct sales industry, not only in Slovenia, but in our region as a whole.«
