DiKUL, EconLit, and eBooks training at the Library

Mr. Pavel Synek, trainer and support representative at EBSCO Information Services

will provide training on the following subject themes:

 

  • DiKUL & EconLit at 2pm and
  • EBSCO eBook Business Collection at 3pm.

 

 

About subjects:

  • DiKUL Digital Library of the Univesity of Ljubljana runs on the new platform since October 2013 and it is based on the EDS platform which offers user different (faster) search technology as the old one. DiKUL offers you combined search of most of the information sources (databases, e-journals, e-books, catalogues, UL reposity) avaliable at the Central Economics Library and / or UL.

 

  • EconLit – The American Economic Association’s electronic bibliography, EconLit, indexes over 120 years of economics literature from around the world. EconLit uses the JEL classification system and controlled vocabulary of keywords to index six types of records: journal articles, books, collective volume articles, dissertations, working papers and full-text book reviews from the Journal of Economic Literature. This database contains more than one million records, with citations and abstracts dating back to 1886.

 

  • EBSCO eBook Business Collection is now available on trial access at the Faculty of Economics till 20th December 2013 on the EBSCOhost platform.This collection offers more than 10,000 eBook titles selected to assist students and scholars with various business research, special project and entrepreneurial needs, and to help students understand general business concepts. A key resource for academic and business school libraries, content within the eBook Business Collection encompasses a variety of business topics, such as marketing, finance, supply chain management and entrepreneurship, with additional focus on career growth, personal development, communication and networking. Titles are available from many noteworthy academic and business / association publishers, including Oxford University Press, University of Chicago Press, Wiley, Entrepreneur Press and the American Management Association.
