QSI International School at Confucius institute Ljubljana
On February the 6th 2018 at 9.am Confucius institute Ljubljana hosted a group of students from the QSI international school. They visited our Confucius institute in the frame of their history and geography class in order to build on their knowledge about China. The core sinologist of Confucius Institute Ljubljana dr. Katja Kolšek held a short lecture about Chinese culture, cultural differences and the evolution of Chinese characters, which the children showed great interest in. With big smiles on their faces they learned to sing along the Chinese children’s song »Where is my friend?«, while at the same time learning to distinguish between the four tones of the Chinese language. Our Chinese volunteer teachers have livened up the educational visit with two interesting cultural workshops, a Chinese calligraphy workshop as well as a Chinese paper-cutting workshop. In the end, the children were able to take the beautiful final products of the workshop home, in memory of their visit at Confucius institute Ljubljana.
