Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all user accounts

19.11.2024Comments are closed.

Dear Students,

As part of our efforts to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to the University of Ljubljana’s information resources, we have decided to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all user accounts.

MFA requires more than one form of digital identity verification (in addition to a password, an additional verification such as via phone), which significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to systems and data.

We thank those of you who have already set this up for your contribution to the security of the University of Ljubljana’s information resources.

We kindly ask the rest of you to enable MFA as soon as possible, but no later than November 25, 2024, when mandatory MFA for online login to UL services will be enforced. Students can activate MFA on the ID portal at: https://id.uni-lj.si/DigitalnaIdentiteta/VklopMfa

User instructions are available at https://id.uni-lj.si/doc/navodila-mfa.sl.pdf

Instructions in English are available at https://id.uni-lj.si/doc/navodila-mfa.en.pdf

Users who do not set up access according to the above instructions in time will lose access.

You can always check the usage of your digital identity at: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/

In case of any issues or questions, you can report a problem at: https://id.uni-lj.si/PrijavaNapak
