ALUMNI Forum: India Emerging – (How) can you be part of it?

About ALUMNI forum series of events:

We designed a new type of events for Alumni club members. ALUMNI Forum is free of charge and intended for Alumni members, that seek new opportunities and want to make a step ahead, be it on professional or business level. ALUMNI forums will be organized three times per year and each time an interesting, contemporary topic will be addressed. Events will offer enough ime for your questions, comments and interesting conversations. The main goal is to come up with new ideas and solutions for important topics.

Book Thursday, 15th of November, 2012 at 5 P.M. for the first in the series of events ALUMNI Forum: India Emerging – (How) can you be part of it?

Indija – the land of opportunity

–          The service sector accounts for 55% of GDP

–           Tenth largest country in the world by import

–          5% of world billionaires are coming from India

We will discuss India with prominent experts on Indian market:

H.E. Jayakar Jerome, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Slovenia

Mr. Jayakar Jerome graduated from the Karnatak Arts College, Karnatak University and did his graduation in Political Science, History and English. Thereafter, he got his Masters degree in Social Work from the National Institute of Social Sciences of the Department of Social Work of the Bangalore University, Bangalore, India. Mr. Jerome has over three decades of Administrative experience as a member of the Indian Administrative Service.

 

Mirjana Dimc Perko, Chairperson at InCon and former board member at Gorenje d.d.

Senior manager with a strong financial background, experienced in managing both – financial function of a large consumer goods corporation (requiring »on the ground« action skills combined with strategic goal orientation) and previously – managing investment fund company, requiring corporate governance, M&A and strategic thinking skills. 

 

 

 

Rudi Bric, CEO PETRA Machines

Always entrepreneurial, he pioneered many developments in the area of Information Technology in Slovenia. In 1990 he co-founded today’s biggest software Company in   Slovenia HERMES SoftLab d.d. with more then 500 software engineers. He managed HERMES Softlab for 12 years. Now he is the CEO of PETRA Machines a successful Slovenian company, with many experience on Indian markets.

Nataša Turk, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia

Nataša Turk is a Regional manager at Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the expert for the area of Asia. In 2011 she published a publication India – consumer Wonderland, manual for those doing business at Indian market. Her role at the chamber is also advising members about mentioned markets and offering support at identifying potential buyers in India. 

 

 

Vojko Kercan

Vojko Kercan, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana and Managing Director of Dhimahi, a software engineering company with expertise in development of mission critical enterprise solutions for clients throughout Europe. Mr Kercan is also a Director of Gopuram, Institute for Vedic Culture, a private non-profit institution established for the purpose of spreading the message of Vedic culture, and a great friend of India with more than a decade of personal experiences.

18:35 – 19:15 Round table: Where should Slovenian companies start to cooperate?
