FELU Summer school, “A great experience in my life!”
At the 15th Summer School of the Faculty of Economics, which took place between 7 and 25 June, Slovene and international students of business and economics attended lectures given by prominent Slovene and international professors. The high-quality graduate and postgraduate programme, accredited with the ECTS credits, has been upgraded with the Ljubljana Doctoral Summer School and Ljubljana Executive Summer School. As part of the intensive educational process, the participants of the Summer School visited Slovene companies, and at the same time, learnt more about the history of Slovenia and about its cultural and natural beauties.
The closing ceremony of the Summer School took place on 25 June under the traditional motto »Take the Best from East and West«, with a performance by dancers from Shanghai. Head of the International Relations Office Danijela Voljč expressed her gratitude to the Summer School organizational team, and the participating lecturers summed up their impressions. For some of the professors, this was the first experience of lecturing at a summer school. The professors from abroad praised the summer school’s good organization and programme. Everybody was very pleased with this year’s participants and many expressed hope that some of the students will attend the Ljubljana Summer School again next year.
Further proof of the success of FELU’s Summer School was the relaxed atmosphere at its closing ceremony and numerous praises from the students who were really pleased with the professors and organizers of the event. Together with the organizers, the students made a fun video, which will not be forgotten.

Also the socializing part of the summer school was well-organized, there were many events and sport activities. The cultural and national diversity of students presented that extra value. I chose digital and social media marketing as my major, because I would like to build my future career in this field. I was really happy with the organization of the events and lectures, and this is why I intend to come back to this faculty some day. I especially loved Slovene cuisine and wine.«
