On Wednesday, March 27 2024, the entrepreneurial POP UP, organized by Alumni EF, took place for the first time at the School of Economics and Business University of Ljubljana.

In the morning, there were stands between the Small and Great Halls where 7 successful SEB Alumni entrepreneurs presented their businesses: Januš Grm, founder of culinary company Dine, Urh Kovačič, co-founder of Psybit, independent entrepreneur and Superfinalist of the 9th season of Masterchef Anja Fir, Gašper Sovdat, co-founder and manager of Nord Drinks d.o.o., Julija Planinšek, guided exercise instructor and co-founder of Čuječe gibalnica, Katja Goljar, co-founder of the fashion brand Relove, and Tjaša Bračko, co-founder of the Eggo facial care products company.

Students were thus able to familiarize themselves with their offer, participate in prize games, try out new products and have an exceptional opportunity to network with entrepreneurs. In 1-on-1 conversations with entrepreneurs, students obtained first-hand information about entrepreneurship.

In the afternoon, there was a round table led by Jure Laharnar, an entrepreneur and host of the Underdog podcast. The first to introduce himself to the audience was Jure Knehtl, the founder of JK’s ECOM growth consulting. He admitted that after finishing his studies he didn’t know exactly what he wanted to do, but then the world of digital marketing pulled him in and he is still passionate about it. He advises young people to start working in practice as soon as possible after their studies and find “that spark” somewhere there. The second guest, Nika Kristina Butina, director and co-founder of the startup Epidemic, discovered her entrepreneurial spirit as an elementary school student. She emphasized that, despite modern thinking, there is still a big difference between male and female entrepreneurs, and at the same time encouraged the female students not to let this be an obstacle for them. The last guest in the conversation was Andraž Gavez, founder of the mojacokolada.si online store and inventor of the BAM – Become a Master brand. Andraž already knew at 18 that he wanted to become an entrepreneur. He has more than 10 years of experience in online sales and says that working from home suits him best. Although reluctant, he still advised the students: “Surround yourself with the right people, especially those who are one step ahead of you.”
