The School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana has once again been ranked by the Financial Times among the 95 best business schools in Europe. UL SEB is the only business school from Slovenia to be included in the FT ranking. This year, the Financial Times has included UL SEB in the ranking for the seventh consecutive year, which is a confirmation of the school’s hard work, commitment of staff and students and quality in an international environment. Among all European business schools in the ranking, UL SEB ranks third in terms of the percentage of female faculty members.

We are delighted that two study programmes have contributed to the prestigious ranking of UL SEB. The Financial Times has once again named the “Ljubljana MBA” programme as one of the best in Europe in the field of “Executive MBA”, while the IMB (International Masters in Business and Organisation) programme has been ranked among the best “Master in Management” programmes in the world for the seventh time in a row. This is an exceptional testimony to the quality of our educational programmes.

The Financial Times ranking is one of the most prestigious global rankings of business schools and has been published since 1999. The list of the best European business schools was published for the first time in 2007. In recent years, Paris business school HEC has been ranked first, but this year it was overtaken by the prestigious business school Insead, which also has its main campus in Paris. France traditionally dominates the geographical distribution of the leading business schools in Europe. Of the 95 schools ranked by the FT, 27 are from France, 18 from the UK, seven from Germany and six each from Switzerland, the Netherlands and Portugal.
