This year the Conference titled ‘The Growing opportunities: Are you interested?’ took place on November 21st and 22nd,, 2013. The title was the base for the research project done by the IMB students under the mentorship of prof. Janez Prašnikar and his other colleagues. The findings of the project were published in the book and presented during the Conference.

However, one of the most important visitors this year were Alenka Bratušek (Prime Minister of Slovenia) and Boštjan Jazbec (Governer of the Bank of Slovenia), who focused their discussion on the macroprudential regulation in Slovenia.

An interesting debate about how to run a successful business in Turkey was created by Yaparak Gulcan (Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir), Enzo Smrekar (Droga Kolinska, Ljubljana), Alenka Košir (Elan), Andrej Ferčej (Consul for Economic Affairs, Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia  in Istanbul).

Besides all that, the main speakers were Kevin Gaskell (Chairmen to number of growing firms), Brian Lucey (Trinity College, Ireland), Zeki Onder (Executive Vice President, Sekerbank), Veljko Bole (EIPF, Ljubljana), Stuart Harker (Global Retail & Consumer Goods Advisory Leader, Australian Retail & Consumer Goods Leader, PwC Australia), Andrej Vizjak, PhD. (Partner, Consulting Leader South East Europe).

Portorož Business Conference again showed out to be a great place to meet, interact and network with others!
