On the 17th May 2016, the International Full Time Master Programme in Business Administration – IMB, hosted traditional information session, welcoming ambitious and knowledge seeking young graduates with clear goals and values. The information session was hosted by student manager Silva Pečarič, with the help of programme’s director founder, prof. Janez Prašnikar, Ph.D., and three students, enrolled in the programme.

The IMB is an intensive master programme with strong emphasis on teamwork, dedication and real-life case studies. It encourages discussions, analytical and critical thinking, providing a learning approach which helps students gain the capabilities, knowledge, and attitudes that are necessary to succeed in today’s competitive business world. In the first year, students are required to pass 15 exams and at the end of second semester they choose one of the three study majors: Finance, Marketing or Technology Management; second year is dedicated to writing master’s thesis. The class of 45 students consists of economists (one third), non-economists, namely from fields like law, engineering and social sciences (one third), and foreign students (one third as well). Their diverse backgrounds offer a unique experience and dynamics, especially during team projects, of which one lasts six weeks and is performed in collaboration with a supermarket chain “Mercator”, enabling them to work with real data and present their final implications to the management of the company.

The entire programme is held in English and 50% of the lecturers come from foreign countries, such as the USA, Finland, Ireland etc., giving students the opportunity to achieve an international mindset and hear stories from experienced individuals in the business world, such as the former Vice President of Nokia, Mr Carl Martin Sandelin, and former Head of Global Brand & Business Development at Lego, Mr Christian Majgaard. At the end of the first year, students are taken to an excursion to various countries. During the trip they write articles, which are then collected and structured into a book, presented at the annual Business Conference in Portorož. Throughout the programme, students are encouraged to build social network with Alumni Association MBA Radovljica, which offers various events, mentorships, and life-long business and personal connections. Nevertheless, the success of the programme is visible in 24 years of tradition and statistics, showing that 73% of the students find employment in a significantly short time, some of them working even for global companies, such as Adidas, Henkel and Google.

If you want to join one of the best post-graduate programmes in South East Europe, do not miss the deadline, 20th of June. Apply now!
