Visiting TAM Company
On the 25th of May, students and professors of the IMB programme took a trip to Maribor to get a closer look into a company that is currently subject of students’ team projects. TAM Company, established in 1947, which used to be the leading bus and commercial vehicle manufacturer in former Yugoslavia, is now focusing on eco-friendly vehicles at reasonable prices (city and intercity buses, electric buses for airports, and chassis systems).
The company presentation was held by head of R&D department, marketing manager, and sales director. After a short introduction, the students and professors were given a detailed insight into how the company operates and manages its issues. The personnel also took them to the production facilities, to show the manufacturing process from step one to the final product.
The trip continued with a hike to Gora Oljka, where students and professors enjoyed a picnic, a short sightseeing tour of a church with impressing artistic legacy, and animation program, which even deepened already close friendships among them.
