Visiting Professor: Jan Svejnar
We were honoured to host Professor Jan Svejnar, Ph.D., the esteemed Richard N. Gardner Professor of Economics and International Affairs at Columbia University and founder of CERGE-EI, during the Business Environment course at IMB!
Professor Svejnar has visited us for many years, and his lectures are always very insightful. Over two full days, he delivered sessions on the global economic landscape. Topics included the economic dynamics in the main parts of the world, such as the USA and China, the factors driving the success of certain countries, and the contrasting trajectories of Europe and the USA, with a focus on why the USA is advancing more rapidly than other parts of the world.
